Our Procedures

Face Lift
An operation performed to reduce the looseness that occurs in the tissues in the face and neck as we age and mature. The affects of aging differs from one person to another and some will require a face-lift and others a neck-lift. The aim of surgery is to rejuvenate the face giving you a fresh and natural look. Both types of surgery involve general anaesthesia, an over-night stay and at least two weeks off work. It is sometimes combined with a blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). Costs vary but are in the region of £5000.
Blepharoplasty (Eye-lid Surgery)
An operation performed either to remove the loose skin in the upper lids or the sagginess of the skin in the lower lids. Both upper and lower eyelids can be operated on at the same time or individually. Most operations on performed under local anaesthesia on a day-case basis. It is advisable to take two weeks off work to allow all the wounds to heal and for bruising and swelling to settle. The cost of surgery varies from £2300-£4200 depending on how many lids are treated.
Neck Lift
An operation performed to reduce the looseness that occurs in the tissues in the face and neck as we age and mature. The affects of aging differs from one person to another and some will require a face-lift and others a neck-lift. The aim of surgery is to rejuvenate the face giving you a fresh and natural look. Both types of surgery involve general anaesthesia, an over-night stay and at least two weeks off work. It is sometimes combined with a blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). Costs vary but are in the region of £5000.
Skin Lesions
There are many type of skin lesions, most are benign but some lesions may be cancerous and will need more complex surgery. Generally lesions are removed under local anaesthesia on a day-case basis. Most of these procedures are covered by health-insurance but for self funding patients, full written estimates will be given prior to surgery.
Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)
This involves surgery to remove excess skin and fat and often involves tightening of the tummy muscles, particularly after child birth. It does necessitate a long usually curved scar across the lower part of the abdomen and a scar around the umbilicus. Any looseness of the muscles of the abdominal wall is dealt with at the same time. Two-three weeks off work will be necessary and it will be six weeks before all normal activities can be resumed. The cost of surgery varies depending on where you have your surgery and some procedures are more complex than others but is in the region of £5000.
Breast Augmentation (breast enlargement)
An operation to increase the size of the breast through inserting an implant beneath the breast tissue. Silicone is the most commonly used, but Saline is also available. The implant is normally inserted through an incision made in the natural crease of the breast. Alternatively the incisions may be made around the areola or in the armpit. The operation normally takes about 75 minutes and is performed under general anaesthesia. The cost of surgery varies depending on length of stay, choice of hospital and type of implant but is in the region of £4500-£5000.
Reduction Mammoplasty (breast reduction)
An operation to remove the excess fat and skin from overly large breasts. A fairly major operation but one that brings about welcome relief from back-ache, neck-pain and rashes underneath the folds of the breasts. Excess breast tissue is removed and the nipples are repositioned. The operation leaves three scars: one around the nipple (areola), one from the nipple to the crease below the breast and one in the crease of the breast. Some women may lose sensation in their nipples after surgery. The recovery period is usually 2-3 weeks but in some cases will be longer but most normal activities are resumed after six weeks. Cost once again varies but is in the region of £5000.
Mastopexy (breast uplift)
An operation where excess breast skin is removed without removing any breast tissue itself. The breast s should appear higher as will the nipples. Breast-lifts are sometimes permanent but the breasts may droop again as you get older or if you become pregnant or put on weight. The operation involves a general anaesthetic and an over-night stay. A small breast up-lift will result in scars around the nipple border (areola) but a more major lift will involve vertical and horizontal scars the latter beneath the crease of the breast. The recovery period is usually 2-3 weeks but in some cases will be longer. Cost once again varies but is in the region of £5000.
Liposuction
An operation to remove unwanted fats deposits that do not respond to diet and exercise. Small or large areas can be treated. A small incision is made in the skin and a hollow metal tube called a cannula is inserted. This is attached to a vacuum pump to enable the fat to be sucked out. The recovery period depends on how big an area has been treated but will require the patient to wear a pressure -garment for up to 2-weeks post surgery. The full results of surgery may not be apparent for up to 3-6-months after the procedure. The cost of surgery ranges from £2500-£4500.
